GERARD TONG, Founder and Director

Gerard is a seasoned banking industry professional who has amassed over 20 years’ diverse industry experience in Singapore and London, working with banks, service providers and market regulators. He has conducted lectures and executive training in financial market, project management, and Fintech programmes, for audiences of all hierarchical levels throughout his professional career.

His areas of expertise span foreign exchange, securities, commodities, financial derivatives, fundamental and technical analysis, risk management, professional trading and market best practices, Fintech, finance, business management and project management.

His industry experience augments his training and development capabilities, allowing him to transform dry, challenging topics into engaging and relevant learning journeys for his audience.

Gerard holds a Masters in Financial Engineering, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and is ACTA-certified. He serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the Singapore Management University.

ANTON HARTANTO, Country Manager

Anton brings to Epitrain over 10 years of operational expertise developed while working in Indonesia, managing varied projects in construction and mining.

Epitrain’s commitment to deliver exceptional Learning Experiences requires extensive operational planning, and Anton works meticulously to ensure that all our deliverables meet the highest standards for the maximum satisfaction of every client.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Marketing) from the Singapore Institute of Management University. Coupled with his experience in interacting with stakeholders across different cultures and hierarchical levels, Anton brings innovative ideas and new ways of learning to the team.

LIM HOCK KHENG, Associate Trainer and Curriculum Developer Consultant - Financial Markets

Hock Kheng is involved in financial services consulting in Asia-Pacific, and has been engaged in consulting activities for investment, commercial, consumer and private banking clients across the Asia-Pacific region.

He has assisted clients in developing and implementing business strategies for the provision of financial services in Asia and in building their regional/global processing centres, establishing new business operating models and licenses, and in implementing front-, middle and back-offices to support the implementation of these strategies.

Before joining the consulting industry in September 2001, Hock Kheng was responsible for the regional treasury for Deutsche Bank in Asia. He set up and managed a banking consulting practice for Ernst & Young in 1994, and managed this up to 1998. He joined Cap Gemini (Gemini Consulting) in 1999, and was responsible for its financial services practice in Singapore.

His deep experience in the Banking and Finance industry adds immense value as a Subject Matter Expert when we consult him for Epitrain’s curriculum development work, and when he conducts our Financial Markets training programmes.

SANJAY PATEL, Associate Trainer and Curriculum Development Consultant - Organizational Change and Business Communications

Sanjay manages his own business consultancy firm and has vast experience helping organizations achieve success in business growth, operations and organizational leadership. He is extremely skilful in understanding what holds businesses back, addressing these challenges and putting them back on the path of growth.

He also works with start-ups to obtain early stage seed funding, and his numerous achievements in this arena is made possible by his ability to effectively convince investors through communicating the value proposition of these fledgling businesses and the benefits of the solutions they provide.

With his experience and competencies in helping organizations accelerate their growth, the contextualized programs that he designs and delivers focus very much on helping employees tackle the core challenges faced by businesses.

DAVID LIM, Adventure Learning Associate Trainer

David has been extensively involved in the training and development industry for the past decade. He has designed and facilitated customized executive training programmes at all levels within the business community. David believes in learning through experience and has an uncanny ability to engage in this process with his participants.

An avid adventurer who has man-hauled to the South Pole, he is committed to creating a physically, intellectually and emotionally safe environment for his participants to learn while having fun.

EDWIN SIEW, Adventure Learning Associate Trainer

Edwin, is an avid advocate of adventure learning and has been an adventure learning educator for almost 20 years. He is especially adept at facilitating learning through hands-on activities and creating impactful experiences in the great outdoors.

His passion for mountaineering has taken him to the peaks of Everest, Cho Oyu, Shisapangma, and Mount Vinson in Antarctica. He has also climbed the notorious K2 and many other Himalayan peaks.
