DYmon ASIA: Tangent apprentice program
Epitrain was engaged to provide an intensive, foundational Financial Markets Training Course for the participants of Dymon Asia’s Tangent’s pilot apprenticeship programme.
The training programme was required to prepare them for success in the rigorous apprenticeship at the Investment Management firm.
On April 7 2019, CEO of Dymon Asia Mr Danny Yong spoke favourably about the progress of the Tangent apprentices in The Sunday Times: “They were given one year apprenticeships with no guarantees. If within that period, they find a role, they’d be offered a job. They started in August last year, and as of now, I can safely say the majority of them will be offered a permanent position.”
SPH RADIO’S MONEY FM 89.3: FINANCIAL INVESTMENT LITERACY EVENT
Epitrain was engaged to provide Money FM’s listeners with a trading competition using our proprietary Financial Market Simulator Epi-Trade® Sprint.
Through a fun-filled evening of heart-pumping, real-time action in a simulated market, 60 lucky listeners learnt important concepts about trading and investments in Financial Markets such as the mechanics of a trade, the importance of keeping within position and loss limits.
They also experienced the workings of behavioural psychology in trading, and how very often, markets react to the News. As such, the source of credible News and staying rational is critical in making good trade decisions.
OUR ALUMNI SPEAKS: VALUE CHAMPion STudent interview
Mr. Joel Ng was featured in The Independent’s Value Champion Student Interview Series about his experience being in the Singapore Management University’s Masters of Information Technology in Business (MITB) programme.
Joel participated in Epi-Trade® simulations in two modules where Epitrain provides real-time simulations for the MITB students to learn about Trading Technology and Operations, and Algorithmic Trading.
In the interview, he was asked which his favourite module in MITB was, and he chose the modules with Epi-Trade® simulations as his favourite modules.
He elaborated: “The centrepiece was of course the online trading simulation games, which allowed us to effectively role play as both human and algorithmic traders and trade against each other with simulated event injects, resulting in a unique experience that was both highly educational and extremely enjoyable.”
