It effectively imparts the soft skills required to succeed in today's business context. Learners will better appreciate the role of a Leader and the importance of Communication in the workplace.
Mission to Mars
Missions fail because the teams on the ground do not see the big picture, do not collaborate with each other, and do not innovate to move more quickly.
Clearly delineated lines of responsibility within organizations often cause employees to be channelled into silos, while the preferred use of emails and chats for communication have resulted in the erosion of interpersonal connection, which reduces mutual understanding and trust; transparency and cooperation are the next victims, resulting in organizational dysfunction at all hierarchical levels.
A toxic culture of simply following the status quo rather than innovating more efficient and effective processes exhausts resources and slows down time to market, allowing the competitor to take the prize.
Mission to Mars is an immersive learning activity that allows Learners to practice strategies for effective communication and building trust among fellow team members. By the end of the programme, they will realise that the surest way to succeed in one’s own KPI is by collaborating with one another and improving processes to achieve the broader company objectives.
The learning is further cemented through debrief sessions where Learners draw from the Mission to Mars experience to bring about actionable and sustainable changes in their workplace."
